When you’re opening QuickBooks for the very first time you may encounter the message “Internet Security Levels are Set Too High” It generally happens when Internet security levels are not set correctly.

3 Simple Steps to Fix Internet Security Levels are Set Too High in QuickBooks Desktop

Step 1: Close QuickBooks Desktop

Firstly, you need to close QuickBooks from the task manager when you encounter this error message.

• Press the Ctrl+Shift+Esc keys together to open the Task Manager
• Under the Processes tab, choose QuickBooks (32bit)
• Then click End Task

Step 2: Reset Internet Explorer Settings

• Press the Windows+R keys together to open the Run Command
• Then type Control Panel and click OK
• Select Network and Internet > Internet Options
• The Internet Properties window will pop up, click the Advanced tab
• Under Reset Internet Explorer Settings, click Reset
• Click Reset and Close

Note: You may want to Troubleshoot QuickBooks Desktop and Internet Explorer Settings

Step 3: Set Internet Security Level to Default

When you encounter an issue with your QuickBooks, please do the following too:

• Click Make Changes
• Now click Default Level
• Click OK
