How to create new Quicken file in Windows?

After the separation of Quicken from Intuit. Quicken is now operated by H.I.G Capital which made a lot of changes into the latest Quicken for Windows & Quicken For Mac. In this article, we have described how to create new Quicken file?

Two appropriates for creating new Quicken files.

Method 1 – If Quicken is already been installed into the computer

If a user already using Quicken and looking to create new quicken file below steps will help you.

  • Open Quicken.
  • Click on File {at top menu bar.}
  •  Select new Quicken File & a small window will popup out click on New Quicken File & Hit OK.
  • Give a name to your new Quicken file with your suitable location & click Save.
  • A new window will open where it will ask for your login information {Quicken ID or password}.
  • Put your login information & click sign in.
  • It may ask to verify your account with 6 digit code {will be send to your registered phone number & email}.
  • Then follow on-screen instructions.

Method 2 ” If Quicken installed into the computer at the very first time”

The following steps will help you to create new quicken files from the scratch.

  • Install Quicken in your Computer.
  • Open Quicken.
  • As a beginner user, you need to create a Quicken ID click on Get Started.

  • Once you created Quicken ID & put your login information {username & password}.
  • Then Follow on-screen instructions & once successfully registered click add account.
  •  If you would like to add an account click on it & chose your respective account information or if not click on add account & hit cancel.
